Workplace Safety Basics for New Hires - template

This 1-hour online course will introduce new employees (and veteran employees, too) to the fundamentals of workplace safety, demonstrating the importance the company places on its safety culture.  The course is designed to cover the basic hazards and precautions that most workers need to be aware of.

Through this course companies can ensure that new workers are aware that the company values their safety and the safety of their co-workers and gives them the tools to be part of the solution.

Customization (optional)

The course is customizable through a collaboration between your company and Phylmar Academy.  The entire course is in the template.  Companies are encouraged to add company-specific safety information (and can include location-specific and job level-specific details), replacing or adding to the lessons.  Such information would include, for example, the location where employees can access your Safety Data Sheets (SDS), PPE that is provided by the employer, procedures to take in the case of a near miss, phone numbers and emergency evacuation plans.  Knowledge checks can be added to ensure that trainees understand and can use the customized information.  Phylmar Academy will work with you to blend your company-specific information seamlessly into the course.
